Known as The Pantry since 2018, we have been operating out of the Live Connection Church (Northgate Ministries) as a distributor of free food and goods to needy communities in Sydney, Australia.

Our challenge

Now known as ThriveCru, we have been compelled by COVID-19 to expand our approach and reach. We are currently providing up to 35 food hampers (called love boxes) per day, as well as monthly meals for the homeless around the Northern Beaches.

Our main priority is to ensure the most vulnerable receive food relief first. Examples are those with a disability, the elderly, low-income earners, people with a chronic illness, and single parents. Our current focus falls on Hornsby Shire, Ku-ring-gai Shire, and the Northern Beaches.

The growing demand requires a growing increase in storage and kitchen space. Thanks to a grant from Fresh Hope, we are now in the process of addressing this challenge.

Our partners

We are partnering with other organisations, like The Bag Project, to supply 60 stranded foreign students with hampers on a weekly basis.
